This is not showing excessive memory usage. It may be showing a small
leak, difficult to tell as linux's memory pattern is not the best. Either way
nothing to be too concerned about imo.

Subject: [bf1942] Proof of a memory leak?

Hi,

The last of couple of days I saw linux killing my BF server process,
because it run out of memory. To be sure the BF server is the blame (more
processes are running on the same box) I made a script which checks the
memory use (residential, not virtual) of my BF process each minute. It
also administrated the number of players on the server.

Atached to this e-mail is a PDF which contains a graph of the two values
at a given time plotted against each other. A value of -1 is used when the
value could not be determined, for example by the absence of the process.
(as is the case at around 480 minutes)

It's clear to see that new players seem to increase the memory foodprint
of the process. The used memory isn't freed the player leaves the server.
Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Anton Jansen
