Since Ryan had to do a lot of work to cut DirectX out of the dedicated 
server when porting it, my guess is no.

I'd recommend that DICE adopt libsdl for future projects to avoid porting 
problems like that.

(Another good cross-platform library for non-game stuff is wxWindows. 
Borland just adopted it for their new cross-development system.)
