[bf1942] Why Linux?

Uhh... What? I don't understand what you just said. I have hosted 16+
players on a cable modem before with no problems on a Half-Life CS
server. I have also hosted LAN parties with a CS server where 8 to 10
players where using a Cable Modem to access a public server with no
problem.

All I am saying is that BF will get 3 times their existing number of
servers when they get their Linux server up with all the bugs worked
out.

For those looking for cheap server hosts ($99/mo.)...

www.rackshack.net
www.rackforce.com

But of course... You can only get Linux servers there... Which is my
whole point.

If anyone Here know of a reliable and cheap Windows server host that
will provide 400+ GB/mo. data transfer for around $100/mo., please let
me know.

While it is possible to host a decent Half-Life server at home on your
DSL or Cable connection,

?????

Whit 4 players (8 for 1024 DSL)....... and when HL have we haven't DSL
and we have servers.
