Time to work on ssam is non-existant, and there will probably not be another build for Linux for the foreseeable future, if ever. Unreal Tournament 2003: Believe it or not, the Mac version still hasn't gone gold. But believe it or not, we're still on schedule for a June 11th release. MacSoft is playing with Release Candidate 2 right now, and I'm fixing little piddly shit that's been cropping up. We're at the "I just found a typo in the EULA" stage, so it's nothing critical. MOHAA: There will be another Linux dedicated server patch (that's compatible with Spearhead 2.15), but...I'm fucking swamped. I'll let you know when it's here. America's Army: (Still need to package up a non-Gentoo version of this for Linux...) I've made approximately 6,342,092 patches to ut2003 in the past week, and most apply to ArmyOps, too, so that all needs to get merged... Other stuff: When I talk about icculus.org's "ISP", what I really mean is the backroom of a cybercafe where there's a T-1 line. So apparently the power company swung icculus.org's ISP to let them know they are being shut down for nonpayment of a LOT of money. Two guys in hardhats show up, flip a switch, and that's that. I show up a sometime later, wondering why my server's not responding. Everyone's looking forlorn, which is never a good sign. I suggest that we throw a hundred bucks at the people next door to use their power. A little grovelling later, we're running extension cords. So, for now, icculus.org, the router, and a few other systems are powered, but this is obviously not a permenent solution. If anyone has recommendations for a new ISP, I'd like to hear it, but I've got requirements. - I've got to have complete control of the server. None of this "you can run your webserver on one of our FreeBSD 4.6-STABLE boxes!". We do a lot of strange things on icculus.org and run a lot of custom software. No firewalls, etc. No limits on DNS. Physical access is nice, but once I'm up and running, it's not so important. - Ideally, they wouldn't care that this is a tower case, but I'm pretty much resigned to buying a rackmount system. - Ideally, they are cheap, but when it comes down to it, a short timeframe is more important than cost. I'm still not panicked about this, really. But recommendations are welcome. --ryan.
