[ut3] Why?

I agree about the death messages - very handy to know how you died, and with
the significantly upped damage of all the weapons, you can die far quicker
than you can figure out who's shooting you and with what. Plus it's nice to
know when someone is going on a rampage with a tank before you wander out
into open areas.
This does feel somewhat like UT99 with UT2K4+ graphics. I'm not overly
worried - we generally mod the hell out of our server anyway, so if it
doesn't feel quite right now, it will get fixed if too much of a problem.
My major irritation at the moment is that my only windows machine isn't all
that hot, so I'm messing around on that while I wait for a linux version.
I don't think that I've yet been happy with an initial release of a UT
version. But they've all grown on me, especially after some modding and
added community content. I guess now is the time to complain if you feel
the need to. The official feedback threads are here:
