(This refers to ioq3 version 1.35 - Hope this is the right place)

I start my custom map and it runs with about 25 fps (which is no surprise as it
is pretty detailed)... But when I go into the settings and move the "Texture
Detail" slide - no matter into which direction! - I get a massive fps boost up
to 200 fps! 

I'm no technician at all, but got a hint that it might have something to do
with the shader processing (it doesn't occur when I run the map with
r_vertexlight 0").
