Quick .02:
I think that what you're describing as "make classic_quake2" should
actually still be the default target. The point of this version,
mostly, was to remain faithful to the original. IMHO, this is a pretty
cool patch to add in, but it should be something that a punter has to
explicitly add, not remove.
