[openbox] Sending a window to Desktop 2

I want Openbox to recognize new windows created by a certain application 
and send them to Desktop 2.

    <application class="Whatever" type="normal">
	  <focusNew>no</focusNew>
      <maximized>no</maximized>
      <focus>no</focus>
	  <desktop>2</desktop>
    </application>

It works, but it also switches my view to Desktop 2. That's not what I 
want. I want to remain focused on Desktop 1 while the application's 
window is sent to Desktop 2, i.e. in background.

Is that possible?
