In your ${XDG_HOME}/.config/openbox/rc.xml have a look at the
XML-entry /openbox_config/theme/name. Remember the name and go
to /usr/share/themes/${name}/openbox/themerc. There is the setting for the border width.
If you don't want to change the themes installed by openbox, it should be also possible
to copy the theme to ${HOME}/.themes, give it a new name, and adapt it to your needs.
