[openbox] Best way to iconify windows to a desktop icon?

I've taken a look at backstep however the fedora dist. I have installed does
not seem to include a number of the X11 prerequisites any more (backstep was
last updated 2005).  Have also installed rox-filer which has some options to
iconify windows, but at a quick glance does not do this with openbox.

Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance,
