[openbox] Checking if a window is minimized

Dear All,

I was wondering if it's possible to check (programmatically, e.g from
the command line), whether a window is minimized or not?

wmctrl does not seem to currently do this.

Also, is there any programs/utils out there that can be used to make
overlays on top of windows (such as what happens when you press
alt-tab on a vanilla openbox)?
