[openbox] sometimes shortcut keys don't work when firefox started

Sounds really like Firefox is stealing the keyboard entirely.  Not
sure what else could cause what you are describing.

Maybe it's a firefox extension/plugin.  You could try disabling them
all and see if that helps.
