Bind mouse button to resize

Hello everyone!

I have 2 questions that I hope you could help me with. The first

1. Is there a way to map alt to one of the extra mousbuttons that I have, so
that I could use mouse button combinations like alt+"right mouse button"?

2. If not (quoestion1) then how do I map my right mouse button to behave
like "right mouse button" +Alt so that I can resize windows without using
alt? It should in other words take over the right button menu that most of
the appllications have.
