You will need the source. You can download it from the OB website. Then
unpack the code, store the patch (it is contained in my Mail of
2007-10-03) inside the source directory and try 

patch -p1 < opaque-nextwindow-3.4.4.patch

Then build openbox as usual (./configure, make, optionally make
install). If the patch doesn't apply take a look at the man page of the
patch command. To make use of the patch, you need to add the <opaqe>
option to your $HOME/.config/openbox/rc.xml in the section with action="NextWindow".
