desktop switching with pidgin

Hi,
since I switched to openbox (which I love, I'm moving all my desktops
to it, thank you guys) I'm having this problem with pidgin:
I open a chat in a desktop move to another one and when someone
messages me and I click on the pidgin tray icon to go to that chat I
get teleported to the original desktop.
Xfce wm would move the window to my current workspace and I liked that
behavior a lot. The only way I have found to mimic this is to make all
my conversation windows sticky, but I do not like it that much. I
guess ob behavior is not a bug, but is there a way to customize this?
