openbox 3.4.1 problem with resolution 1440x900

hi,
	My newly installed ob 3.4.1 goes well untill desktop shows up after startx:
	the desktop raised up normally, but the resolution
	(set in xorg.conf to be 1440x900-best for my HPw1907)
	seems BEYOND the vertical range~! so I have to move the mouse up and
	down to touch the top and bottom of the desktop :^(.

	gnome metacity is ok with the same config.
	corresponding section in xorg.conf is attached as follows,
	any advice is appreciated.
