[openbox] Experiencing "hangs"... Is this openbox?

Nevermind, found it...
I'm now bootstrapping (and making a terrible amount of noise on this
list), and get this initial error:
aclocal: configure.ac: 49: macro `AM_PROG_CC_C_O' not found in library
And following that:
+ autoconf
configure.ac:3: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE
If this token and others are legitimate, please use
m4_pattern_allow.
See the Autoconf documentation.
configure.ac:23: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_SUBST
And a couple of pages of other errors...
