Nothing simpler than that: What is needed are two distinct delays, 
raiseDelay and focusDelay. For "normal use" one would set it to
    focusDelay: some value
    raiseDelay: infinit
and for FFM one would set it to
    focusDelay: some value
    raiseDelay: some value bigger than focusDelay
