[openbox] Xft and RedHat 8

I have compiled 2.3.0 with no problems but I still don't think I am
getting AntiAliased fonts. Any ideas? There is no option in the openbox
menu for xft does that mean that it is not compiling it with xft support
in? When I go into the rc file it has antialiasFonts as true (it was
that by default). I have a screenshot of fieron2

When I compare that to:

There is a fair difference.

Fieron2 uses Veranda and that font is available in phoenix, mozilla and
gnome so I am not sure what the problem is.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I am running RedHat 8
