bug

hello,

handling of dependend windows in X applications traditionally
is bad: eg. the gimp's many palettes all are independend of
the canvas. so moving the canvas window makes it raise and
obscure the brushes etc. at least scrolling doesnt.

with openbox I can workaround by moving with modifier, and
setting raiseOnMoveResize to false. this was nice to have
without the modifier. then middle mousebutton may have to
become a toggle of course...

some apps do mark their dependand windows, eg mozilla,
xcdroast. but those show a bug in openbox. Sending either main
window or dialogue to the back, only puts the dialogue back,
not both. linkage is there, as iconifying the main window
takes the dialogue along with it.

this is mostly a nuisance, in anotherwise reliable and fast
windowmanager, that actually works as advertised, and it write
to you only to say how lucky I am :)

cheers,

peter.
