Hi Tim,
Thanks for your reply. I would finally would like to respectfully suggest that the satatement in the radiant website see (http://www.qeradiant.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi)
that estates that gtkradiant supports Quake4 editing in Linux should be removed, as it is misleading, and basically false. I myself wasted long hours compiling and pulling my hair out wandering what was I doing wrong, when basically it just does not work.
Cheers.

You may be able to edit maps, but you won't be able to compile them,
unless you setup to run quake4.exe's map compiler through wine or some
other pretendulator.

The only version that will still actively develop is ZeroRadiant (1.6),
which supports Quake3, Urban Terror, Quake2 and UFOAI atm. You can read
more about it there:
http://www.qeradiant.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/wiki/ZeroRadiant You may find
some GtkRadiant 1.4 and 1.5 builds but you're mostly on your own with those.

See two previous answers.

I don't think you will get Quake4 compiler tools natively on Linux any
time soon. Any developer who wants to get involved maintaining a Quake4
pak for ZeroRadiant is more than welcome to contribute.
