[Gtkradiant] [Bug 1027] New: Multiple base directories for doom III crashes Gtkradiant

There is no appreciable benefit to unpacking the PK4 files in base. In 
fact, there are numerous drawbacks, such as mods not functioning 
correctly, slower loading times, and greater disk usage.

If you noticed any speed gains after unpacking, then your disk is probably 
very fragmented. Nuke the unpacked base directory and defrag your disk.
