Summary: GTK Radiant reacts strangely to . and @ in pathnames.
Product: GtkRadiant
Version: 1.4
Platform: All
OS/Version: Windows 2000/XP
Status: NEW
Severity: blocker
Priority: P2
Component: editor
AssignedTo: ttimo@idsoftware.com
ReportedBy: megazzt@gmail.com
This can occur in installations of Half-Life that use Steam
(www.steampowered.com) because Steam installs Half-Life in
...\Steam\SteamApps\usersemail@whereever.com\half-life.
This causes a few odd problems:
- When you save a map anywhere inside the email-named folder or under it, GTK
Radiant always saves your map as ...\Steam\SteamApps\usersemail@whereever.map
- If you attempt to compile a map saved outside the email directory, for some
reason GTKRadiant seems to replace the @ in the path with " (according to the
error dialog that pops up complaining the compiler tool could not be run).
