The dll file in question's internal version is 2.2.4.0.

I had a more recent version (2.2.4.16) lying around but I still experienced the
same error when I replaced the DLL.

Deleting 1.4.0 and 1.5.0 and reinstalling 1.5.0 has fixed my problem.

So I suppose this bug can be classified as an upgrade problem.
