Summary: CSG Make Hollow should mitre brush edges
           Product: GtkRadiant
           Version: 1.4
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Windows 2000/XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: tools
        AssignedTo: ttimo@idsoftware.com
        ReportedBy: jhanley@DGtlRift.com

The make hollow function works great for simple brushes, but complex brush
shapes will create a set of brushes that intersect the volume of the the
brushes that represent the hollow of the origional brush. From what I have
read about map design, beveling the touching edges of walls is the better way
to create a room, but the make hollow currently doesn't do that. Adding this
functionality would simplify adding textures (since now it creates all sorts of
competing faces)

Example: create a sphere from a brush, and then make the sphere hollow, then
examine the new brushes created and how they intersect the brushes contiguous
to them.
