This also happens in WindowsXP.  I just tried it.
Though on my dual monitor setup the mouse just moves one full screen to the
right.  (1024 pixels, screen setup is 2048x768)

(WinXP, AMD Duron 950Mhz, GF4 Ti4200, 256MB RAM)
