The following problem that I'm about to described has been experience with the
following version of GtkRadiant:

1.3.5
1.3.6
GtkRadiant is very slow on my computer. When I mean slow, it's not like a
little bit slugish, but rather like I'm trying to map for Quake 3 with a 286
(my computer's specs are below).
Example: Just moving the grid, I've got to wait sometimes up to 2 minutes
before I am able to make it move and it can take another minute for the grid
to be refreshed on my screen. Just cliking on any menu of GtkR (file, edit,
textures, etc) can also takes 2 minutes before the menu is being pulled down
(and most of the time the menu will be pulled down in the middle of my
screen). Right click to bring up the entities windows is also very slow.
Moving also the camera is a real pain. On the moment a press a movement key
(like forward) it take also 2-3 minutes before the movement is actually done
in the 3D window. Any command, any options, anything in GtkRadiant is
frigging slow.
I've been mapping for Quake 3 with Q3Radiant build 202 instead which is
working very well, and is a real charm to work with. No waiting time,
everything is done right away, the cpus are loaded @ 30% compare to GtkRadiant
where my cpu's are loaded up to 80% as soon as I open GtkRadiant.
It's been 2 weeks since I've started checking that bug. I've talked with
people on map-center.com about this problem, also talked with some good
mappers on irc, no one could help me with the problem. I did a small search
on the bug database of bugzilla, I couldn't find anything about it.
My last resort is to submit my problem as a bug.
