Mes amis,

I'm new to this list, so I don't know if posting potential feature ideas =
goes against any informal ettiquette we've got going, but here goes =
nuthin: I think it would be rather nice if a "layers" structure could be =
built into the .map format -- as you work, you could assign your =
brushes/patches/entities to various layers, which could be hidden or =
shown via a "layers" menu. Also in the "layers" menu could be the =
selection for what the current working layer is, which would be the =
layer to which all newly created brushes/patches/entities would be =
assigned.

I am not a programmer (feel free to give me the old "piss off, this is a =
developer's list, for cryin' out loud" -- I'd understand), just a lowly =
map-maker, so I really have no base or reference as to where on the =
feasability spectrum implimenting this type of functionality stands... I =
do know that I would find GtkRadiant that much easier to use if this =
type of "layers" structure were added.

Thanks,
Roger
