Summary: Mac OS X: Right-click movement / rotation in 3d window
causes uncontrolled view and app hanging
Product: GtkRadiant
Version: 1.3
Platform: All
OS/Version: MacOS X
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: editor
AssignedTo: ttimo@idsoftware.com
ReportedBy: dave@eskimospy.com
===MAC OS X BUILD ONLY (AFAIK)====
Using Right-Click to move or rotate the 3D view causes the 3D view to begin
spinning wildly, and the mouse pointer to become 'stuck' at the left edge of the
monitor.
Some behavior is similar to the 2D bug, but this seems much more severe so I
reported it seperately.
Unlike the 2D error, this is not immediately recoverable. If GtkRadiant remains
the focused app, the spiining view / camera will continue indefinitely.
Switching to other Mac OS apps / Finder is possible, and mouse pointer behaves
normally.
Leaving GtkRadiant unfocused for some time (upwards of a minute, usually more
than two) will allow you to grab the top bar and reposition the window... this
then stops the spinning. Any other focus to the app (clicking any place but the
top bar) will start the behavior again. Clicking the green 'reposition to last
/ fill screen' button will also accomplish this, again, if given enough time. If
you don't give it enough time, it starts all over again.
I have reproduced this on two systems, both OS 10.2.3, against builds created
against both Apple's original X11, and the updated X11 released on 2003.02.10
