If you do decide to keep Ctrl-X as "Exit", you should at least add a
confirmation dialog if the current map hasn't been saved. It's standard
practice to double-check if the user intends to lose the work they've put into
the current document before closing down.

If I've been using another program all day with a standard Ctrl-X mapping
of "Cut", I should at least get a warning that I'm about to lose my work by
doing something I didn't mean to do. This should actually be a general
enhancement to any method that closes the current map.
