Need to make sure it initializes to a proper default in case the current 
selection isn't valid anymore. Whenever I force my radiant (or accidently do so 
by starting it on the wrong monitor) to start in software mode, it won't 
select 'None' but a blank (invalid) value. It should clamp to an available mode 
if the current one isn't available anymore.
