Detecting wether GL is running in software mode would be useful, I'm not so sure
there is a way to do that though. Can you compare the console log when running
with netmeeting disabled + GL acceleration against netmeeting / GL software? If
there is a difference in the GL driver names we might be able to do something,
but that is highly unlikely.

Maybe some cards provide extensions to query the accelerated / non accelerated
state?
