need an update on this
I see in the q3map2 ChangeLog 'handle grayscale jpegs gracefully'
  does that cover (ef1-jk2-sof2) with q3map2's per-game configuration?
  we need to have matching behaviour in GtkR? (this should be a .game flag)

am I correct here?
