For me GtkRadiants setup seems to be the right place. As long as we have no
packaging system like debian with dependencies, version check, standard paths
etc. and split gtkradiant and the game packs in diffent packages, 
any other solution seems to be a hack to me. 

And the changes to the core are only to make the selection easier. If gtkradiant
would store all the data of all the mods you already have entered and provided
them to you in a combo box, that would be perfect. And why do I have to change
the project setting and can not create a new project? So I have to enter the new
basepath and restart gtkradiant... (Maybe I'll find the time to do some of the
changes, if you don't have any objections and hang to much on the old code. But
first TTimo has to include the lastest changes of the stable tree into the
unstable tree ;))
