Using an appropriate shaderlist.txt would clearly avoid the problem by doing
correct filtering of what needs to be in the texture menu and whatnot. If you
need to have per-map or per-project shaderlist.txt files to have correct sorting
of your texture items, I don't consider that it's a big problem.
I always considered texture menu getting too long or overflowing as a bogus
problem caused by improper editor use.
