that could be a ld problem

We have several implementations of libjpeg through the source (in libs/ and
directly in image/). Some dynamic loaders get confused and tend to alias
functions to the wrong stuff. Need to ldd -r on all .so too.

Can't reproduce the problem though, so that will be hard to debug. Ideally, if
you could compile GtkR 1.2 yourself and trace through it..
