Tig, -extrawide does a 3x3 box filter on the lightmap data. 1.x builds of 
Q3Map have distinct per-surface lightmaps, so the filter has nothing to 
work with at the seams, hence the discontinuities you're seeing.

Q3Map2 gets around this by treating adjacent coplanars as a single large 
surface when allocating lightmaps. This minimizes filtering artifacts.
