Ok yeah, that's close, but still no cigar :)

With the attachment you provided the save time goes down to about 1min, 30 
seconds.   Better than 18 minutes, but still not a patch on 3 seconds.

It's not like my machine's slow either,  I'm using a 1.333Ghz AMD system here!
