the problem is it doesn't get written to the .ini, not that it doesn't work. 
ya'll got write to .ini snafu'd somehow. and it's not just this but all those 
others i wrote about.

once you edit the things manually, radiant finds stuff & works just fine (till 
you start working on a different map, and you want it to open THIS map, not 
THAT_OLD one)

hearing default.wav when you close radiant (indicating that yet again your 
preferences didn't get written to radiant.ini) gets to be like water torture 
sometimes, but i'm very sensitive to those things... :)
