.game files are not voodoo, writing your own for a mod could be quite simple...
Provided you have
<basepath>/textures/radiant/notex.tga
<basepath>/textures/radiant/shadernotex.tga
<basepath>/scripts/entities.def
Everything should work as expected. I've applied a fix for the File/New Project to
allow it to continue if the dir exists. It will no longer change the basepath
since if there is no textures/radiant/notex.tga somewhere within the searchable
paths for radiant, then it will break. Probably the same with shadernotex.tga too.
