Alright, we've got files again.  Now what?

Do we:
- Expose files completely, including forks, to applications, via some kind of 
File class (a la OpenStep).  I don't think this fits with the LSD scheme, 
because NSFileHandle (and the File structure in general) was designed for 
stream-based files, not memory mapped.
  -- OR --
- Expose files as storage space for objects and resources, treating them as 
opaque.

Also:
How will ACLs fit in?
  - We have the FileManager, so I think we should just add functions to the 
FileManager, along with named attributes.
