In that thread 402 has replied with:
Yes, this contains the 1.1 fixes, this should be both Server and Client side.
You should not have a problem connecting with earlier versions but I'm verifying that right now.

Does the 1.2 patch contain the 1.1 patch?
ie. If i reinstall CoD4 do I need to install both patches or just 1.2?
