[cod] 1.3 patch

Well, actually, the security of a system is for 99% dependent of its
administrator's knowledge/policy. Running both linux and windows servers, I
hardly see any difference in security and uptime between these two OS's.

Also, there are control panels that don't care whether the remote machine is
linux or windows, when it comes to starting/stopping/restarting remote
processes.

The only difference for me is that a win2k3 license costs me some money, and
if you'd ask me, that's the main reason why there are more linux cod2
servers than windows.

Doesn't surprise me that windows shows more servers.

My server host offered me the chance to move to windows server because
of this problem but I prefer linux as it can run and run and run
without a restart not to mention the nice control panel that linux
servers have for remote starting and stopping.

you can't beat linux for security either.
