Thats partially right.
IMO it wouldnt have much influence on the sales figures of cod-2 but it
would have a lot influence on the successor (cod-3 or whatever it will
be).

I offered my cod-2 customers either paying their money back (If the
server doesnt comes out the within next days) or making the servers
more expensive on Windows machines (which I dont own so far)

Dont you remember Dec 05?
100% of hlds linux servers went down after autoupdating. The downgrade
for steam games is easy on server side if you have a daily backup but
utopic to explain that all these kids who are owning the clients.
I really hate the steam concept - also because its much more work to
separate the global and local part of an installation.

Yep its like they would release a new Firefox which cant browse apache
webservers anymore...
