[cod] Traffic data question

I just setup my first Linux COD:UO server and with 16-18 players we were
seeing 1 Mb/s +/- of bandwidth. I did note that at one point we had 24
players online and it didn't break 1.2 Mb/s but it wasn't for very long
so I may have missed actual peaks on my RRD graphs (5 minute average
traffic).

So your saying that a 16 slot cod server would be using just under a 1MB
a second?
Regards,
Richard.

Delta,
I am afraid I diasgree. The correct formula for the peak traffic is: s *
(s - 1) * 4 Where "s" is the number of slots and 4Kbps is the max
bandwidth used for each slot. This formula says that each slot "listens"
for the traffic of the others. I used the MRTG to generate a graphic for
the servers we have and, for me, the formula is correct. In this
particular case, 16 slots will consume, at most, 960Kbps.
Best regards,
Ben
