Crazy timing

Don't Activision realise the work that goes into implementing a patch.

Excuse me but as an end user I think it's crazy to release a patch so 
close to christmas.

Ok I'm not a Game server provider but I'm a game admin.

I have holidays coming up and leave on Wednesday morning.

Before then I have to wait for the patch to be released then to wait 
for my GSP to install it then I will probably have to reconfigure all 
the set up and install custom configs again. Not to mention the fact 
that my server will kick everyone for having the wrong md5 hashes.

People talk about early christmas presents but Activision have just 
released a whole load of stress at an already stressful period.

Why couldn't they have waited and waited until both server versions 
were available?

PS I realise that the linux coders are working their butts off for this 
patch release and I thank them wholeheartedly for their work but there 
will still be a lot of work to do once it's released.
