      Hi,

I'm looking to write a server-side (only) mod which can display messages, auto-kick people for swearing/racism (from a list of banned words) and a few other minor things. It will be run on a Linux ded server, and will be similar to GSG (GameServerGuardian) as run by the [FuN] servers.

Could anyone tell me the best way to do this ? Do I need to write an actual `mod` for the game, or is there a script related way to do what I need (like monitoring log files combined with Rcon, maybe) ?

If an actual game mod would be needed, how do I start learning something like that ?? I'm a decent(ish) programmer/scripter, but the only details I've found on CoD scripting related to maps and AI paths etc..

Any advice would be MUCH appreciated - or anyone willing to help me create this.

      Thx
      PapaLaz

BTW - Sorry if this is a stupid question. Joined the mailing list and watched it for a while - thought it was time to participate :P
