Possible with emulation, or by binary recompilation. Some "emulators" 
actually recompile a binary into native machine language for speed, then 
run it. Consider that machine language is just an expression of an 
algorithm. I imagine that most operations an on x86 can be expressed fairly 
closely with a similar number of instructions on a SPARC.
