Linux server Tobruk Hell

Hello,

All of a sudden, my server is ignoring my maplist.con file, loading Tobruk
come hell or high water, and then whacking the maplist.con file except for
the text: "game.setCurrentLevel" with no level specified.

I have been hacking at this for hours with no success, and found
surprisingly little about it online.

I did notice a setting in Default.con which can be changed to another
level, and it will only load THAT level from then on.  Why is it ignoring
and whacking my maplist.con?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
