Is there a mailing list or a FreeBSD developer I can talk to about the
binary compatibility? I don't understand what's wrong with the bind()
call, why it works on Linux, and what errno -99 means in terms of BSD
(since "Cannot assign requested address" is a little vague). I'm beginning
to believe this is a FreeBSD (or at least, a binary compatibility) issue,
but I'd at least like a BSD developer to say "ah, here's what you're doing
wrong" so I can fix it.
